Hello my friends and soon to be friends, 

I am Cecile Houel, an internationally renowned artist, passionate traveler, and a promoter of love, peace and unity in our world. My Plein Air painting workshops have attracted a dedicated following of French and American art enthusiasts, students, gallery owners and other world renowned experts while inspiring many to explore the richness of European heritage. Encouraged by the enthusiastic word of mouth, I founded “French Tour Partners”.

The company specializes in curated travel experiences across France  and other captivating destinations in Europe. My team and I are committed to designing and offering personalized and memorable journeys . 

Along with my companion Victor, we focus on small group sizes of 8 to 12 people, ensuring an intimate and worry-free environment where travelers can relax and enjoy authentic cultural encounters. Many of our travelers return year after year, eager to explore more and deepen their connection with Europe’s beauty and history.

What's included in the tour price?

Your tour includes carefully selected accommodations in charming hotels and boutique properties, daily guided excursions to both iconic landmarks and hidden gems, select meals including Cecile's renowned gourmet dinners, ground transportation throughout the tour, and the expertise of your knowledgeable guides Cecile and Victor. We handle all the planning and logistics so you can simply relax and enjoy your journey. Specific inclusions vary by tour, and we provide a detailed itinerary upon booking.

What level of physical fitness is required?

Our tours are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for travelers with moderate fitness levels. A typical day includes walking tours of historic sites, leisurely strolls through markets and villages, and comfortable transportation between destinations. While you should be able to walk comfortably for 1-2 hours with rest breaks, we maintain a relaxed pace with plenty of time to rest and enjoy the experience. If you have specific mobility concerns, please contact us so we can ensure the tour is a good fit for you.

Are flights included in the tour price?

Flights to and from Europe are not included in the tour price, giving you the flexibility to choose your preferred airlines, routes, and travel dates. However, once you arrive at our designated meeting point, all ground transportation during the tour is included. We provide detailed arrival and departure information and are happy to offer recommendations for flights and travel arrangements. Many of our returning guests enjoy extending their stay in Europe before or after the tour.

What if I have an emergency during the tour?

Your safety and well-being are our top priorities. Cecile and Victor are with you throughout the tour and are experienced in handling any situations that arise. We maintain 24/7 communication capabilities and have established relationships with local resources in all our destinations. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that includes medical coverage and emergency evacuation. Before departure, we provide emergency contact information and protocols to ensure you feel secure throughout your journey.
